Schumer Pounces On ‘Explosive’ New Emails From Key Witness On Ukraine Aid Freeze

On Sunday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) zeroed in on newly disclosed emails from Mike Duffey, an Office of Management and Budget official, which show he had requested the hold on the military aid to Ukraine about 90 minutes after President Donald Trump’s infamous July 25 call with the Ukrainian president.

The image of Schumer pouncing is a bit much. After all his glasses might slide off.

I expect there to be new revelations in coming days

I expect this to keep happening, drip, drip, drip, of new evidence, making it harder and harder for the half dozen Senate Republicans up for reelection in November.

OT but…

Is America entitled to a Trump impeachment trial?

Opinion by Michael Zeldin and Robert Ray on cnn.com

Guys please read the relevant Articles in the Constitution. It’s in there like Ragu. And then look at the evidence.
Yes we are most definitely entitled to impeachment when proper… LIKE NOW!!! …trump notwithstanding.

The message to Senators is pretty clear, and it’s not “there’s more.” It’s “there’s lots more.”

It will be a constant drip, drip, flood, drip, drip of damaging info about Trump & Co. from now until the last day of his Senate trial.

Including the special elections in Arizona and Georgia, Republicans will be defending 23 seats in 2020,

trump’s lawyers have tried to say that he has not been impeached yet. Like not until the Articles are transmitted to the Senate.
I beg to differ.

This is precisely why Pelosi’s strategy of holding up the process is so brilliant. There’s lots more waiting to come out. I hope Moscow Mitch’s blood pressure is skyrocketing. The good guys may win this yet

I should have been more clear. I meant those Senate seats the Democrats have a chance to flip.

I am convinced that if 67 Senators vote to convict Trump, he will not leave and instead claim the right to appeal to the Supreme Court. Once SCOTUS dismissed the appeal he still wouldn’t leave. THAT would be a Constitutional crisis.

Cook Report now sees at least 8 seats in play. One is McConnell’s.

He’s not a pouncer. Mensches don’t pounce, but he has an encyclopedia of words at his disposal and a certain amount of power even as minority leader

Lindsey Graham, among others, currently seems vulnerable, so no reason to limit our horizons.

More like this, please, naming all The Usual Suspects who have to decide which comes first, IMPOTUS or the country.

To paraphrase Col. Jessup, Moscow Mitch doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks we’re entitled to.

“If this is a perfect conversation, if this is a ok action, why are they trying to hush it up?”

Trump knows that revealing too much of his perfection is bad for everyone else’s morale.

I remember 30+ years ago when I was working on the Hill in DC some group plastered “Meese is a pig” posters all over the city, on trash cans, light poles, metro cars. It got under AG Meese’s skin. I really want some group to do the same thing with “Impeached” stamped over its orange face. These need to be everywhere he travels by car, not too many places in DC since he never dares emerge from his hole, but around his “clubs”, his “hotels”, and in Merry Ego Land. Come to think of it, let’s do it for Barr too.
