I would guess that the Intel community is not only worried about angering the fool in the WH but also about leaks from Repuglican committee members like Nunes.

We are counting on the intelligence community not only to speak truth to power

I think I have found the problem.

The Senate has the chance to prevent Trump from aggregating all power under his control. If they don’t, the Republic isn’t really set up to resist the combined efforts of the CIA, NSA, and GRU.

At what point does Trump overstay his welcome to Repubs?

I can hardly wait. No. Really. I can’t wait to see what schlock they put into that one.

Likely to be the same schlock they’ve put in the previous ones.

That’s what Fox/GOP is counting on.

How could you possibly anger a very stable jenius?

Given that I got the assignment to write it, and today is Conference Championships day in the NFL, it’s going to be pretty short, and probably include lots of shit I just copy off the internet as filler.

Could be wrong, but a lot of the folks in the IC are wing-nuts, too, so maybe they are in league with Hair Furor. This is just based on my limited exposure to these folks. A lot are ethical and professional, though whether this is the norm, I have no idea.

Never. They are all trapped into pandering to the stupid “base” if they want to keep their powerful jobs. And many of the most powerful Republicans are beholden to Charles Koch (who helped move the base to even more crazy by funding the Tea Party and many other crackpot organizations), and to Mr. Koch’s fellow oligarch, V. Putin. I expect many of them find Trump disgusting but they created their jailer.

Worried about THE CONSEQUENCES of angering the president. The CONSEQUENCES of presenting facts which are, at the very least, politically inconvenient. And at the worst, are damming.

The minute they see their Senate majority slipping away, they’ll drop him like a bad habit.
They care about power, and only about power.

As soon as they find an up and coming charismatic and good looking young fascist to carry the baton into the future. Only then.
