Sarah Palin’s Running For Congress And Of Course Trump’s Endorsing Her

My thought on Palin running is that someone thought it was a good idea and there’s enough support for her in the State (or through external organizations) to make the run stick.

Once she is defeated in the primaries, someone will figure out it wasn’t a good idea or was a delusion of their own making.

Or both.

According to Trump, Palin “lifted the McCain presidential campaign out of the dumps” and “had to endure some very evil, stupid, and jealous people within the campaign itself.”

Evil, stupid, and jealous people. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

There is a very reasonable question as to whether type 2 diabetes should be treated more like cigarette smoking, as a lifestyle choice that should be penalized with higher insurance costs.

Also, she probably figures that if human garbage like Gaetz, Greene and Boebert can get elected then she has a shot.

I imagine that someone was Ms. Palin as no one else in Alaska is dumb enough to think that. She’s a perfect fit into the Trump grift scam politics shtick. Alaska tired of her long ago and is tiring of Trump. If you look at all things Trump since Jan 6 he’s clearly sliding out of favor. GOP’ers like Sununu that are not dependent on loyalty to him are trashing him with little fallout. The media, including TPM are not going to stop harping the Trump drone but it’s a noise coming from a broken machine.

Or just follow the Gaetz plan…

Never mind all those with type 1 or non-weight related.

Fetterman chose not to attend the first debate of the season yesterday. Back in February, the top three polling candidates were invited to it. Fetterman told Muhlenberg College only last Thursday that he would not attend. He gave no reason. I wish he would have been there.

The debate ending up being only between Conor Lamb and Malcolm Kenyatta. I watched and was impressed by both men. I do not know who I am voting for in the primary. I like all three men, though I was disappointed by Fetterman’s absence.

Which is why I was specific about type 2. The ACA allows for smokers to be charged up to 50% more in premiums, so there is a precedent for lifestyle choices and increased associated costs anticipated.

I’m unconvinced. Given the evidence, voters seem to have the memories of goldfish. Presumably, she’ll run in a safe Republican District, and she’ll win. She’ll win as if no one else was running.

I think her chances aren’t that bad. There are 50 people filed to enter the race. It’s a huge field with no incumbent running, and she’s the only one with national name recognition. Trump made it through the primary and won with less than a majority based on name recognition and a field that was too big and too weak.

The MAGA base won’t care that she quit her last government job, and that base vote might get her through the primary. It’s a Red state, so if she wins the primary she’ll get probably elected. At least we can have fun watching the cat fight for grabbing outrageous headlines between Palin, Boebert, and MTG.

Although Type II Diabetes ( insulin resistant DM ) is universally associated with obesity that is not the case. Many Type II folks are not overweight. And Type II is way to complicated and multifaceted a disease for a doofus like Gaetz to comment on. I think we should keep in mind that obesity is itself a disease and often of mental / emotional etiology. Viewing Type II as “your own fault” is a bit like viewing paraneoplatic syndrome as “your fault” because you got cancer.
