Now, now. You can’t ask for a full-on denunciation of their own behavior from these people. (Except maybe from Chris Sununu.) These little curtsies in the direction of integrity and regret for shattered norms are green shoots and should be encouraged. They’re like convicts trying to go straight, work a job, pay their bills, all that. You can’t expect perfection right away.

I notice that in her announcement speech, she’s speaking to “Americans” and NOT to the Alaskan voters she wants to represent. She knows full well where her money will come from, and it ain’t from her State. I doubt she finishes this race.

If you offered Sarah some position that promised a modicum of recognition and enough money to live an upper-middle-class life, like spokesperson in TV ads for a car-insurance company, she would leave Alaska forever and never look back. I guarantee you she hates Alaska and always has.

I imagine the reason she’s running is that Trump endorsement and her expectation it will elevate her from the deeply unpopular place she’s been for years. I doubt she has a chance. Alaska’s GOP wants nothing to do with the Quitta from Wasilla. They’re still pissed off about her sabotage of John McCain ( although he was as much to blame as Mama Bear ) and the less than “family values” her clan drug into the political scene there. I doubt this stunt lasts long. I can’t see big bucks donors backing her and she’s distanced herself from the Alaskans by hauling her dumb ass down to warm Arizona where spends most of her time.
