Sanders Spox: Bloomberg Had Heart Attacks

I was going to read the transcript/tweets (namely from Josh), because graps > the debate. However, I’m going to have fun listening to the debate on Tune-in.

Bernie Sanders’ national press secretary made a bold claim defending the Democratic front-runner’s refusal to release his medical records, comparing the demands to the birther lies against former President Barack Obama and baselessly claiming that, like Sanders, Democratic contender Michael Bloomberg had suffered heart attacks.

In September, before Sanders had a heart attack, the 78-year-old said that he would “absolutely” release his medical records ahead of the presidential primary season. He backpedaled on that promise earlier this week.

Comparing calls for B.S to release his medical records to birtherism against Barack Obama is repugnant.

What if i told you that there’s a pundit class who will likely defend her claim?

Notable from NBC/WSJ poll of Dem primary voters: If you had to choose between...

Sanders 57%
Bloomberg 37%

Sanders 54%
Buttigieg 38%https://t.co/2asdlVJs8Y

This is the same WSJ/NBC poll that ignored Warren in head-to-head polling, even though she’s ahead of a few candidates they did it for. So I’m sort of loath to post their results, but it is interesting.

It’s not a valid comparison. One is a real thing the other is not.

WTF? There’s nothing bogus about medical records.

I think something thats going to limit this is that while one could ratfuck those lib snowflakes, it also means that they lose the chance to vote for a senate candidate (just as an example). While some surely will jump at the chance to pwn the libs any chance they get, I’d think that a good many more are going to want to have a say in who’s running on 11/3.

Bloomberg had a terrible Tuesday.

The last person who had to deal with Tuesday’s type of craziness/scrutiny was HRC (off the top of my head).

This is the Trump era, so here’s Brie with the ‘hold my beer’ segment.

Sanders’ press secretary, Ms. Gray, is a piece of work … in the space of just 63 seconds, she managed to utter three blatantly false and outrageous statements:

  1. Bloomberg has suffered multiple “heart attacks” - False, not only hasn’t Bloomberg suffered multiple heart attacks, he hasn’t suffered a single heart attack (unlike Bernie).

  2. Calls for Sanders to release his medical records (as he previously promised to do) are comparable to the birtherism smears against Obama - False, on its face, an absurd comparison.

  3. The only folks who care about Sanders’ medical records are anti-Sanders “right wingers” like Jennifer Rubin - False, average voters, exercising ordinary common sense, will (and should) have concern about the health status of a 78 year old candidate for the presidency who has recently had a heart attack.

And, on top of it all, Ms. Gray failed to offer any kind of cogent explanation for Sanders’ sudden flip-flop on the release of his medical records. This will only serve to spur all kinds of rumors, which will surely be exploited by Trump, should Sanders become the nominee.

It’s more like this guy’s footsteps that Bernie is hearing:

The day is young

I agree, just saying that he’s shit. I’m sure some people on MSNBC and VOX will do that too.

Found your comment useful. Thanks.

As for this part:

Did she say that asking Sanders to release (all?) his medical records is “comparable to the birtherism smears against Obama”?

Or did she say that demanding Obama’s birth certificate was as offensive (or invasive) as demanding someone’s entire medical record?

Two different claims, no?

(Not saying I accept either one.)
