Very much a possibility that one of the goals of putin is to destabilize the country so much that it falls apart without much effort. He’s doing a pretty good job with that here.

Reznikov has a point. Putin has spent a load of cash on his build up and although the Russian markets did poorly today and people there are getting pissed off with him, he’s a power hungry megalomaniac who won’t like to back down. He’d be more apt to go with what felt right to him, invade if NATO and allies show to much strength.
