Rubio Dismisses Backlash Over Live-Tweeting Call Zelensky Had With Members Of Congress

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Sunday claimed he’s not sweating over the backlash he and Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) are facing after both GOP senators live-tweeted screenshots of a video call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, despite being instructed against posting pictures of the meeting while it was happening.

Good grief. No apology but an argument that it was a stupid request? And then he accuses the people who called him on it of wanting their names in the press? Why in the world does he think he posted it in the first place? Projection and stubbornness from the Trumpist party.

“There were over 300 people on it.”

Typical high school mean girl when called out for their bullshit: “Well, everyone else was saying/doing/thinking it too!”

Tweets about attending a meeting he was specifically asked to keep quiet.

Gets criticized for recklessly calling attention to himself.

With a straight face says: “You’re always going to have a couple of people that want their name in an article somewhere and mentioned in the press.”

And you, Mr.Rubio are one of those despicable people. Just like Trump, you feel compelled to sate you own selfish need for attention, even if it puts others at risk of harm. You do not deserve to serve in any kind of leadership role.

One more entry for the anals of non-self-awareness:

“You’re always going to have a couple of people that want their name in an article somewhere and mentioned in the press,” Rubio said.

Daines and Rubio, two senators that don’t the sense that God gave geese.
And obvs that these two know nothing of R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Why would Zelensky want to include someone who is, at best, maybe two degrees of separation from Russian Intelligence anyway?

That type of behavior could get a worker with an active security clearance in hot water.

Rubio’s a liability.

Well he is called Little Marco for a reason.

Trump never apologizes.
Trump minions never apologize
Rubio is a Trump minion
Rubio never apologizes
Both have conduits of communication from RWNJ media

This story could have written itself.

Who are the backers of this pathetic little weasel? It’s hard to believe he could be elected dogcatcher, let alone a U.S. Senator. I know it’s Florida, but…c’mon man.

Sure. But Rubio is the Vice Chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence.

For that episode (set aside his childish response) he should have that assignment revoked.

Remember the claims from the Republicans that they were the party of “personal responsibility?”

Rubio has big ears, but he cannot hear (actually, he doesn’t want to hear).

Liddle Marco is a liddle leaking showboat.

So what if this causes a tragic loss on your part? That’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

OT, and not at all surprising.

A new development in the ‘Freedom Convoy’ saga. Look who has just set up an event in DC to “listen to the grievances” of the truckers tomorrow. What a surprise. pic.twitter.com/HyUvimSGFE
