Romney Warns Of ‘Severe’ Consequences Of Lame Duck Trump Lashing Out | Talking Points Memo

What is it that anyone is supposed to do? The GOP is certainly not going to rein this monster in.
this is not treasonous, we can’t try him for that. He has the power to do these things because the spineless Republicans will NOT stand up for the country. They can all mouth little objections like Romney is doing, but WHAT do they plan to DO about it?

Trump seeks to weed out the voices in his administration who refuse to play along in his game of make-believe that the election was stolen from him.

Spot on. Thank you Zoe, for that.

Collins won’t express concern at all. She won re-election and won’t run again until 2026, if the fossil is still sentient by then. Why should she change? She’s been rewarded for her behavior.

It won’t be time for her “concerns” until 2025. Unless a Democrat is President and then she’ll be quite vocal in her displeasure and active in her role as an obstructionist.

Now…THERE’S a man I would really like to see impeached. What can we do to Kentucky to punish them for foisting this mongrel on us for 6 stinking more years?

Easy. It’s zero.

Are democratic leaders using the same terms?

(I understand why the Biden camp would not.)

Take their precious racism away from them.

Currently, Mitch holds all the cards and will not pay a price. Now, if Ossoff and Warnock win in the GA runoff Mitch will lose his choke hold power in the Senate. Send your pennies to flip the Senate.

You will do the same thing you’ve done to all the other states who’ve foisted Republican senators on us.

It sounds to me like the Generals did stand up to Donnie when he proposed bombing Iran. It turns out that they DO more than Donnie.

… and he is too timid to do what he would need to do to have a chance -

He has to understand that he has to break the spell - he will never - never - get a chance to run again while the gasses of Cult of Trump still pervade the land!
His mealy mouthed Ward Cleaver style approach of clucking his tongue and shaking his finger at “questionable” and “concerning” things is just totally neutering any future that he might have
… who would want him?
He is not this totally stupid - but his brain seems to be totally paralyzed with respect to doing anything to differentiate himself.

If you can figure out a way to do that, you could own the world.

Mitt you are still part of the party of the enablers…

They aren’t enablers. In every respect they’re conspirators, and that includes those who speak without action.
