Aaron Zelinsky, a career DOJ attorney who led the prosecution of Roger Stone, will testify on Wednesday about the “political influence” he alleges was involved in the Justice Department’s handling of the case, according to written remarks a House committee posted Tuesday.
And this information should be enough now for the judge to lock him up and throw away the key. If the judge doesn’t, the entire judicial system will take an enormous credibility hit.
MAKE Trump pardon him. It’ll just be another brick in the wall as to how Trump loses the election in November.
No more namby-pamby wrist slaps. Enough already. Lock. Him. Up.
They should be forced into isolation, no outside contact with anyone (including each other) and be stuck with their thoughts as to how they almost, but didn’t quite, make it into autocracy. They should be tortured with those thoughts for the rest of their unnatural lives.
Zelinsky will be tarred as a member of the “Deep State” by RW media. Senate Republicans will scurry away from reporters asking questions about Zelinsky’s testimony. By Thursday, Trump will have done/Tweeted some new beyond-the-pale thing that will consume everyone’s attention.
Nothing will come of this incredibly damning and not-so-shocking revelation.
I can’t help thinking about this guy I know. Bob L. Nice guy. Friendly, smart, good neighbor. Lifelong Republican, I’m sure. Votes for the R without fail. Early on, in the first months, people were busting on Trump on Facebook and he was there saying “Give him a chance.”
Well, we did, right? Didn’t have much choice. I wonder what old Bob L. is saying now. I don’t know because I will not speak one social word with a person I know is a Republican. Nice guy Bob L. can go fuck himself. People like him hurt this country as much as any foreign soldier ever did.
After being staunchly behind candidate Cruz for 6 years, I confess that I have now switched camps and believe that Stone’s is the most punchable face in America.
To all of those who have supported me on this deeply personal journey, I thank you.
“I was explicitly told that the motivation for changing the sentencing memo was political, and because the U.S. Attorney was ‘afraid of the President,’” he writes.
I just can’t imagine anyone with an ounce of integrity being “afraid of the president”. What is this, “The Attack of the Fifty Foot Crazy Thanksgiving Uncle?” Give me a break. Big toady energy here.
