Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel renewed former President Donald Trump’s grievances about the Commission on Presidential Debates, threatening in a letter to the commission Tuesday to discourage future Republican nominees against participating in presidential debates unless significant changes are made to the commission.

Cry, baby, cry. Sure, abolish the debate commission! Just let the League of Women Voters run the debates in future, by League rules. Nonpartisan questions. Same questions for each candidate. Limited time – strictly enforced! – for answers; same for all candidates. No celebrity moderators; use an experienced League mod.
Frankly, Americans have been begging for this ever since the League stopped doing the presidential debates.
McDaniel went on to thank Trump in her letter to the CPD co-chairs, for his “background in television,” which she said provided him the ability to recognize that the glass shields put in place to protect against coronavirus, would cause the candidates to see their reflections once the stage was lit.

Is it just me but I still can’t figure out why Republicans are having such a hard time understanding that 2020 was the Year of the Global Pandemic. That every single person on earth in some way or another was dealing with the problems a Global Pandemic, and is still lost on Republicans.
