RNC Threatens Debate Boycott If Trump’s Grievances With Format Aren’t Addressed | Talking Points Memo

Excellent strategy! Do it! Also, fuck off!

She does have a point
If Trump is participating, why bother?
That separated from the fact that they are totally useless with everyone looking for “Gotcha questions”
The moderators seem to traditionally suck, getting rolled by loudmouth assholes like Trump

Since the Republican party has no platform, what would the point be to participating in the debate? Yes, yes, I know…using logic can never be applied to that party.

I was intentionally ambiguous regarding the exact locus of that derriere. If pressed, I would say it belongs to fat donnie. We all know from where the shrill whine is coming.

No Paddlefoot, no. Maybe some day.

McDaniel went on to thank Trump in her letter to the CPD co-chairs, for his “background in television,” which she said provided him the ability to recognize that the glass shields put in place to protect against coronavirus, would cause the candidates to see their reflections once the stage was lit.

“Had it not been caught by the President of the United States, the CPD’s unforced error would have caused a surprising and awkward distraction for both candidates once the cameras started to roll,” she said.

So she’s afraid Trump would have started masturbating on stage? That kind of distraction? Thank God we were all spared.

I’m sorry but this continual vile behavior deserves not an inking of serious response. Ridicule is all I have left for this insidious creatures and their foolish and often dangerous antics.

He proposed a fourth debate and at that time also suggested several potential Trump-friendly moderators for the debate, including Bret Baier, Harris Faulkner, Hugh Hewitt, David Muir and Norah O’Donnell.

Trump also demands the following lifelines: fifty fifty, phone a friend, ask the audience and ask one person from audience.

It’s so grossly unfair the Democratic candidate is so much more knowledgeable, intelligent, and thoughtful. Debates should be more like golf in that there needs to be an idiot handicap.

Ms. Romney:

the fair and impartial forum for presidential debates which the law requires

And which law would that be? Please give section and part number.

Yes, and they should, in particular, focus sharply on that last. I mean to say the whole GQP can fsck right off from here to eternity.

No debates, then!

Like, I should give a shit what this lunatic thinks? He claims he’s going to be “reinstated” in the Presidency this August.

It’s a sure thing!

Don’t you remember when he was THE TOP candidate for baseball in NYS?

That he was the valedictorian of his grad school (noNO he was not: actual valedictorian at Wharton – THAT guy said he would sue his ass and suddenly the claim was dropped) but he is STILL saying he’s a genius because of his uncle. Like my mom could speak Polish he is saying “I” should be able to speak Polish by genetic osmosis or something.

The truth is NOBODY is ‘fair’ to Trump unless that person is a belly-to-the-floor Trump worshipper (sample question: who’s better, Superman or Jesus? Or YOU, PRESIDENT Trump?) And I recognize the reporters’ issues, but not a day goes by Trump is not referred to as PRESIDENT not FORMER President Trump.

Golly, I obviously woke up with an angry heart.

I just posted the vulgar version of this before seeing your comment. I commend your restraint.

“Our sincere hope is that the CPD accepts this criticism and works to correct its mistakes,” McDaniel said.

“If not, the RNC will have no choice but to advise future Republican candidates against participating in CPD-hosted debates,” she added.

The people working hard to literally destroy the Republic are concerned about fairness of debates? The RNC is the glaring mistake that needs to be corrected.

He already has the perfect location for it: Mar a Lago.

He’s too lazy to actually do the work to create a Presidential Library, and the grifting right now needs to go into other projects like keeping his ass out of jail. Mar a Lago has the right kind of tacky glitz ambience as a setting. He’ll just dedicate a few rooms of Confederate statuary and an alcove for his “papers,” charge a hefty admission fee and call it done.

Oh, he is a conman. That day is coming, or Ivanka will take up the cause should he die. For now they have to keep up the grift that he’ll run again or - heck- just be reinstalled late summer as lawyer-extraordinaire Sidney just explained.

It’s understandable these days.

Wrote this elsewhere on this topic this morning:

In other words, make the rules favorable to our candidate or we take all our marbles and go home.

You know what, Ronna? Your candidate won’t have anything worthwhile to say. I don’t care if it’s T**** or some other political misfit.

Leave the stage to the grownups. The Dem candidate, whomever it is, will have a platform to reach millions of voters. Your candidate will have Faux and OAN. Your candidate won’t get the opportunity to lie to the remainder of the voting population. The Dem candidate will win overwhelmingly because we already know what your candidate stands for and no one but your minions want that.

Democracy. Gotta love it.

Looking forward to October, 2023 already, are we? If she had constructive criticism or legitimate concerns, she couldn’t have addressed the debate commission privately? Which leads me to believe it’s all performative for that audience of one.

She proves she’s a real Romney, this one, by going by the name McDaniel.

Thanks. Yesterday we were discussing his old-man arms and THAT ASS in his golf clothes.

I look at Joe Biden and I can see he is an old man, but I would prefer HIS ‘old man’ to whatever it is that Trump projects. McCarthy was ‘extolling’ Trump’s ability to ONLY sleep 5hr a day; yeah that meant he had 19hr/day to terrorize the whole world.

I haven’t followed the ins and outs of becoming the RNC Chair, but why is she still here? Didn’t she lead the party when the Dems took over the House in 2018? And then followed up by allowing the Dems to win the WH, Senate, and retain the House in 2020, during a Global Pandemic no less.
When do they usually oust the old and bring in the new?
