Originally published at: Right-Wing Justices Lap Up Anti-LGBTQ Arguments In Case On School Board Culture War
The right-wing justices, sensing an easy win in their grasp for parents seeking to opt their children out from LGBTQ-inclusive content at public school, couldn’t stop themselves from taking a victory lap before Tuesday’s arguments even concluded. In 2022, the board of education in Montgomery County, Maryland, incorporated a few books with LGBTQ characters and…
won’t Alito just sit down and keep his nose buried in fox daytime hate-fest while he helps Martha select whichever of her rotten flags she wants to fly today? god, what a miserable SOB.
Nothing quite captures for me American Weird like this Alito homophobia.
Alito is the worst person in America.
The question I would have like the right-wing justices to answer is: Why do parents get to opt out of LGBTAI+ books in Maryland when the Ten Commandments must be posted in every classroom in Louisiana? We all know the answer to that question, but I want them on the record.
The basis here is something the bible does not address: the fact that people do not choose to be gay or trans. And these religious people want to punish them for making a choice, but they didn’t choose. Shall we punish people for wearing cowboy hats? or pink shirts? or having brown hair? Shouldn’t books with married hetero couples in them be unacceptable because of the implication they are having sex behind closed doors? Do we know what kind of sex they are having? Maybe they are having threesomes! There is so much to this discussion that hasn’t been said, so many questions that haven’t been asked.
Fuck you and your slave-built white-Jesus pillboxes, you sexless money-grubbing whores.
Alito obviously doesn’t want to be reminded about gay people having sex because it’s icky. It’s probably pretty close to the way I feel when I imagine Sam and his wife having sex.
Someone please make it stop.
I rather doubt that Alito likes his wife.
So when the parents object to teaching evolution because it’s counter to their YEC religious beliefs, that’ll be ok, too, right?
Nope, second worst.
I don’t care what they wear outside but cowboy hats are NOT an inside item.
My belief that Sam Alito is butt ugly is “sincerely held.”
I request one out of nine of my tax dollars be withheld from funding the Supreme Court, and that publicly viewable newspapers and broadcast media black out his execrable mug.
And the competition is fierce,
As an op-ed in the NYT argued the other day, the matter was handled really poorly by the district’s school board and leadership, digging in their heels rather than deal with the inconvenience of the usual practice of letting the kids off those readings or sessions. Even some of the parents who favor the books were not happy with the school district’s handling of the issue. A perfect set-up for the right wing. The irony is that kids being kids, many of them will buck their narrow-minded parents and read the books anyway, even if they are held out of class that day(s).
Next they’re going to be mad when them and their kids look like a$$holes “opting out” and sue for it to be eliminated entirely
So, now even the Supremes are into performative public dunking on people they don’t like?
Justice Brett Kavanaugh to Chief Justice John Roberts: “Hold my beer!”
They just want vouchers to subsidize their religious schools. Public schools just a dumping ground for the poor.
I hate Alito so so much!
