Well the man has his principles, principles from the 12th century no less.

Alito is a curmudgeon. He needs to be retired, so he can sit on his front porch and yell at the whippersnappers he sees. Grandpa Simpson seems like a Liberal compared to Alito.

Alito began daydreaming … and then became quite obviously aroused as he vividly fantasized about making it legal to torture homosexuals and transvestites - well, only the flamboyant ones … as he contends that he gets no thrill out of abusing the closet dwellers! … …
… … pause to ponder how he became aware of this…

Some thoughts as a born-again Christian, about the plaintiffs and their ilk rather than the case itself.

Yanno, Christianity as a religion got its start in the freakin’ Roman Empire of the First Century C.E., where all sorts of conduct was going on in the secular world that the Christians of that time lived in. And yet they managed not just to survive in that environment, they thrived in it.

So WTF is the matter with these snowflake ‘Christians’ of today, who can’t bear to be exposed to a book that mentions LGBTQ+ folks in a neutral or positive light? Who are these people who apparently need the whole freakin’ WORLD to be their ‘safe space’?

Lord help them if they ever have to endure actual persecution, when they can’t even deal with positive portrayals of gay and trans people. (Of course they claim being exposed to such things IS persecution. Lord, give me patience, and quickly.)

Seems as if the Catholic justices are convinced of Catholic ‘specialness’, like just because they’re Catholic, that somehow entitles them to discriminate. Seems like a BS argument at best.

They seem to hold the Free exercise clause as a means to subvert the Establishment clause

So if we like what they are doing to the First Amendment, twisting themselves in knot to undercut the clear and obvious intent…

We are gonna love the Birthright Citizenship case…

my question is,‘why can’t people just mind their own damn business?’

in my youth…i read every book that was banned…i think, maybe, that i was intrigued by the ‘forbidden’…tell a kid he/she can’t read, see, listen to’ whatever, and they will defy it …if a parent does not agree with or like whatever, explain to your kid why…

I guess gay people are scarier than school shootings.
