Right-Wing Figures Suddenly Drop Abortion Militancy After Walker Revelation

Abortion is murder…until there’s a Senate seat on the line, apparently.

Earlier this week, the Daily Beast published a report that Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker paid for an ex-girlfriend to get an abortion in 2009. Walker has denied the claim, though the ex-girlfriend produced to the outlet receipts and a get well card he’d signed.

Nothing new here…

One cannot say that the right wing Republicans aren’t committed to their moral values and public policy positions. No, wait! Look closer, they squirm around on their bellies like live reptiles!

The members of the republican cult are actually proud of their hypocrisy in the same way they’re proud of their racism and bigotry. For them, being a republican is a ‘get out of jail free’ card in the same way claiming to be ‘christian’ is a ‘get out of jail free card’.

Whoever came up with the phrase “Shamelessness is Their Superpower” certainly captured the essence of the cult.

GOP, the party of situational morals, family values and religious beliefs. Or, as @qwerty23 said, nothing new here.

I did. However, I only applied it to Trump

Surprised no one said “There are good abortions on both sides.”

“If the NYT hasn’t confirmed, it never happened,” even thought the receipts are there for all to gaze upon.

Once again, we observe facts and evidence avoidance of the part of the Christian Nationalist Fascists. Walker is just the latest example of this “deny the evidence” strategy of these assassins of democracy.

I’ve seen it used by many, including Digby and Max Boot (2019)

The party is driven by and beholden to a small, fervent core of anti-abortion activists. And while other Republican stakeholders parrot that group’s language and behavior, for many, the position is more about political expediency than deeply held conviction.

Grand old Phonies. Meanwhile, in other news, dog bites man (not Mehmet Oz, alas).

Good on Warnock. If I were Kemp, I’d be a tad nervous.

Education is the key here…and I mean an education that includes the Humanities.
We need more of this to vote intelligently.
