Request For Probe Into Robert Fuller’s Death | Talking Points Memo

Plus at West Point apparently Trump during his speech was struggling getting a glass of water to his mouth???
Also screwed up Gen Douglas MacArthur’s name.

Which is true and funny at the same time, well at for here in the good old U.S. of A. “All men are created equal”
“One nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”

Oh, by the way, under the circumstances, this was an unfortunate turn of phrase, which I, at least, would have avoided.

“ We understand the gravity of this situation and the family’s desire for answers.”

If those are lynchings it won’t matter where they happened. Technology has a way of shrinking the world.

Everything they told us is not right

“hanging outside Palmdale City Hall” — happen often? People committing suicide outside city hall?

And no cameras around?

Doesn’t shrink all the blaming of the Confederacy, traitors to the US and slavery that seems to take over some of these threads since all the protests.

Fuller’s death also comes weeks after protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

Minor quibble: This construction implies the protests ended weeks ago. Should be ‘Fuller’s death also comes after weeks of protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death.’ (or even ‘amid weeks of’)

We’ve had some pretty inspirational writers here in America whose writings have little to do with reality.

Strange fruit.

What do you mean by any of the above?

Two people committed suicide within 50 miles and in public spaces. Just how likely is that? Zero in my opinion.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger could not have written a less feeling, less sincere compassionate statement than the one she did. Right out of Grieving for Dummies.

Becerra “will lend additional expertise and oversight into this important investigation and provide the community with the answers they deserve.”

“It is my hope that our collective efforts will help to support those struggling and grieving surrounding the circumstances of this tragedy,”

Word. It is sad how desperate the RW is to calm the storm that they so obviously unleash 2 black people to speak for them. Those two? My God, you might as well shoot yourself in the foot right now.

Given that the two men were black and found hanging from trees it gets pretty unlikely.

Mourner In Chief’s probably upset too.

On some threads there has been a lot of vitriol about the south. People still calling the south traitors because of the civil war. You can read yesterdays article on Jones from Alabama. It’s been going on for the last couple weeks. I’ve jumped in a couple times as someone that grew up in Va but hasn’t lived here most of my life. I’m not saying what went on with slavery is not one of the most abhorrent things that ever happened here, but it seems people just want to keep blaming the south. What? No racism any place else?

I agree – it’s everywhere.

But actual monuments to it are more common in some places than in others.

And no matter where, all of them should go.

Suicide by hanging, from a tree…near a government building. While people are protesting racial violence and inequality in the streets.

I am not an expert, but seems like a pretty strange MO for suicide groupings.

Don’t do that! I’ll never figure out what birds I’m running in to. I’ll send you a Southern Belle dress and sun bonnet if you stay.:grinning::grinning::grinning:
