Well of course Joshy doesn’t like her, she went to Harvard Law, and he’s a Yalie. They both clerked for a supreme court justice, her Brennen, him Roberts, he wrote a book, she worked as a federal defense lawyer. Hawley was a law professor at MIZZOU, she became of federal judge.

I’m not sure that someone who used his support of the January 6 insurrection - which attempted to overthrow the government - as a device to sell coffee cups is a credible questioner of the nominee’s judicial temperance and qualities: (also a member of Jen Pataki Fan Club).

The Senate just voted to move forward on the nomination of Judge Ali Nathan for the Second Circuit.

She’s now an SDNY judge, and she’ll be the second-ever openly lesbian woman to serve as a federal appellate judge.
