Reports: Grand Jury For Hush Money Probe Set To Break For A Month

The Manhattan grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump’s role in the $130,000 hush money payment made to Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign is scheduled to take a break in April, according to reports.

During the break — which reportedly is a previously scheduled hiatus — the grand jury will not hear evidence in the case, according to a Politico source, putting a pause on the wave of anticipation in recent days about a possible Trump indictment.

Politico pegs it as a two week break, not a month. Makes sense in light of Passover/Easter/spring break.

Did Bragg ever even hint at a possible date for the announcement? No, Trump said it was going to be last Tuesday.

Trump said.

This is just fine. Let one of the stronger cases go first, and that will ensure that Trump has less ability to continue down the victimhood path convincingly.

And golly, if you can’t count on what he says, then what can you count on?

Smith strikes me as more likely to be a whiskey type than a beer type. Especially after serving a stint on a war crimes tribunal.

Yes, through his publicly-reported investigative activities. Trump offered up Bob Costello to testify on a Friday but did not seek indictment immediately after. Given that the next meeting of the grand jury was the following Monday, Trump predicted that he would be arrested on Tuesday. Didn’t happen that way, of course, but it was a reasonable prediction at the time. And Trump always seeks to be in control of the narrative, including being the bearer of his own bad news.

This path isn’t going to be easy and considering despite a %'s attempt to hero worship (Israel n Brazil), we could be here for a bit.

The best that John n Jane Citizen can do is to ‘brick up’ smeg’s escape routes.
