The White House is likely to unveil Friday an executive order by President Trump banning the Census Bureau from counting undocumented immigrants in its 2020 decennial survey, Politico reported.
Pretty clearly unconstitutional as noted in the article, using the plain language of that document. It seems to me that even Clarence Thomas would have a hard time contorting himself around that one.
“The Constitution mandates a “actual Enumeration” every 10 years so that “all persons” can be counted for the purposes of allotting U.S. representatives among the states.”
You are right. Why should he notice the Constitution? After all he just swore to this oath: "“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
But then I guess he would say that he has no ability to do this. But in that case, he should be thrown out on his ass.
In the Before Times, I would have jokingly suggested that maybe the administration would argue that undocumented immigrants obviously don’t count as “persons”. Ha ha it’s funny see because nobody is that ignorant and bigoted.
Now I can only assume that that will be the exact, literal argument they make in court.
Yes it will, and it will be struck down. But he’s got nothing left to do now but pretend to be president in really the worst ways he can think of to pretend. He’s a freak.
Bigots and xenophobes aren’t limited to the southern states. Idaho, Indiana, the Dakotas, Arizona, hell, all the rest of the states, are chock full of them.
