Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin reportedly held informal discussions with staffers on having President Donald Trump removed from office through the 25th Amendment after he instigated a violent insurrection by his supporters at the Capitol on Wednesday, according to CNBC.
Iām sure this was āleakedā so these two look like ārational actorsā. Pompeo is an opportunist who uses ANYTHING (Christianity, Trump, no-Trump) to puff himself up and Mnuchin? I donāt know. He seems so hapless but maybe itās all a front.
Iām guessing the discussion went something like this:
POMPEO: Iām not going to vote for the 25th.
MNUCHIN: Neither am I. Btw, fuck democracy.
POMPEO: Agreed. I so want to put my face into a bag of cheeseburgers.
MNUCHIN: Go for it, ma dude! 
Heard a snippet of Junior from some podium loudly proclaiming the Republican Party would now be known as the Donald Trump Party. Essentially said there were no longer āRepublicansā as the Right was now just āTrumpersā.
That arrow was so far off it even missed the hay bale holding the target.

Pompeo does the wrong thing when he needs to step up? Check.
Mnuchin doesnāt do enough when he needs to step up? Check.

He needs to be neutralized asap. Iām not exaggerating when I say I fear that, in order to disrupt the swearing in of Biden, heās gonna lob a nuclear warhead or two at Iran - simultaneously satisfying Stephen Millerās deepest fantasy.

Pence should be telling Trump to resign, Iām sure all the GOPers are hoping for it since it saves them having to put the country over their selfish political ambition/power grab.
The 25th will never happen (too chicken) and Impeachment is a nightmare for the GOP Senators up for election in 2022.
I actually think heās right. There are millions of Americans who support the attempted coup because they believe whole-heartedly the lies that Trump and his party have been feeding them. The GOP has to choose between losing that base by telling them the truth, or continuing down the path of Trumpism. Thereās a limited chance that the party will split into the GOP and the Trumpers but I just donāt see most of the so-called āmainstreamersā wanting to be sidelined into a permanent minority party.
The fact theyāre even having the conversation is enough to warrant removal from office. Invoking the 25th amendment isnāt something you discuss casually over brunch. This is unprecedented.
