Don’t go away mad, Mikey. Just go away.
And stay the hell out of Indiana. We have enough problems.

“Skip town” sounds sort of “gangster-ish”…especially since “junket”, “good will trip”, etc. are available

That would be one of the smartest things he could do.

For his own wellbeing, too many angry Trumptards there that will not forgive his treachery.

He could skip town before and stick somebody else with the job. Nancy would do it.

Oh, I am so reminded of having to relate to a hung-over shipmate his actions the night before at the Hail and Farewell ot the O-club. These Repugs are now beginning to come to. It’s herd-memory is being awakened. Smell the bile and sweat. It is going to be a bumpy ride, folks.

…with the potential for even more stops to be added to that schedule.

IOW, if it turns out he needs to stall for even more time to do nothing productive, he will add more destinations to the itinerary. Another lazy Conservative.

How can we miss him if he won’t go away?

Also, does a pardon count if issued from Backwoodsistan? Asking for a friend.

He’s going to distance himself from the idiot??? Oh puleeze, after this long and a couple weeks remaining that is one lame statement.

Two weeks is one hell of an international goodwill tour/fact-finding trip/smarm offensive.

It sounds like Trump is not going to resign so that Pence can pardon him. Trump apparently hasn’t seen that train that everyone else sees coming. Pence will probably come back soon enough so that he can use AF2 but that isn’t going to leave much time if the resign and pardon deal is on.

It is also completely unsupportable in the face of the riding infection rates of the second wave of the virus. A multi-country farewell jaunt to try and burnish his own image separate from tRump’s a mere two weeks before the end of the administration? Come on.

“What did you do during Christmas vacation, Mr. Pence?”

“Oh, you know. Stuff.”

Certainly Pence is crooked. But, to quote Sollozzo, “he’s not on muscle end of the operation”**

He came up as a thoroughly corrupted Republican, but he ain’t no born and bred thug…not the ones Donnie is familiar with…

Well. He does love the poles.

Fingers crossed that Pence has a modicum of sense regarding how monstrous a Trump resignation-pardon scheme would be judged by the history books.

Although it’s been rather head-spinning the lengths that a so-called “devout” Christian has gone through to explain away the contradictions of supporting a foul-mouthed serial adulterer and walking embodiment of the Seven Deadly Sins. Still seems like there’s no bridge too far when it comes to Pence. We shall see…

When Trump resigns, can he take the Presidential oath of office on Zoom?
