Cassidy Hutchinson, former top aide to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, has reportedly cooperated with the Justice Department’s Jan. 6 investigation, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.
WASHINGTON —Predicting that “their case is about to fall apart,” Donald J. Trump claimed that the Department of Justice has “zero proof” that he ever acted as a President.
“This is the greatest witch hunt of all time,” Trump told Fox News’s Sean Hannity. “Merrick Garland and the D.O.J. will never, ever find evidence of me doing something a President would do.”
Didn’t someone recently say “the dam is breaking”?
Also, now that the whole treasonous scheme is being exposed there are going to be a lot of people looking for immunity. Then we’ll really see the tsunami come ashore.
I was afraid there for a while that Trump would out-Borowitz Borowitz by being so absurd that Borowitz wouldn’t be able to get beyond that boundary. This one, though, does the job well–though, note, he has to go absolutist in order to do it: “Merrick Garland and the D.O.J. will never, ever find evidence of me doing something a President would do.”
I was constantly afraid that The Onion would be forced to go under because it seemed like nothing they could concoct would be more absurd and ridiculous than what FatAss & Co produced on a daily basis. (Remember those “WH press briefings”?)
I saw this Borowitz story earlier, and I do love the look on his orange face. It sums up what’s going on inside the empty head. “Who me, I’m president?”
She was smart enough to get to the front of the line. At some point, DOJ will have what it needs and there will be no reason to dangle lesser charges/sentences for information. I expect that is going through the minds of Trump’s toadies but they better get to the store before the stock runs out.
