New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), who has now been accused of sexual harassment by five women, reportedly made explicitly clear to state leadership the only way he no longer be in office amid the growing scandal.

have to impeach him if they want him gone.
Well, this is an unexpected development.

Should we focus on important matters, like the royals?

It’s really best to at least look over the headlines. A typo in a headline is kinda bush.

So what is the legal process, is there an established protocol in NYS laws for impeaching Governor? What kind of numbers are required? Need context-

Maybe the legislature can impeach TPM’s headline-writer.

The tRump model. Just ignore it long enough and it will go away from the news cycle.

The Governor of New York, wealthy and powerful, could seemingly strike up a relationship with a woman not employed by the state. Why the hell these guys repeat the same mistake again and again and again is puzzling and frustrating. Meeting people is difficult, and I guess being in close daily proximity probably has something to do with it. But trashing a career is stupid.

TPM’s headlines are outsourced to a Chinese firm.

This is the way it should be done…via due process. An impeachment will give both sides the opportunity to air their cases and it gives Cuomo a basic right: the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
This cannot be allowed to go forward on just the words of the accusers and from that a leap to forcing out a Governor. What defense does the Governor have? He’s being attacked by history long past. My guess is he did go past the point of OK with these women but that’s a guess. A feeling. What is driving everyone. A feeling. No matter how badly Cuomo wronged those women we don’t resolve issues in America with our suspicions and feelings. Impeach him. Let him defend and if he has no defense…kick his ass out but for fucks sake can we handle this via the rules.

Why are some folks such stupid idiots. I mean Franken probably had a lot less reason to quit, but he knew it would cause more harm than good if he made a big deal about it.

I think Cuomo is now a royal PITA.

My thought exactly. I can’t believe it is coming to this, but I have to say I hope they do it.
My oh my how the mighty have fallen - my R father-in-law wrote in Cuomo because he couldn’t stomach voting for Trump again. Combining that with his behavior in this incident… maybe Andrew is a DINO R agent provocateur.

So if it goes to impeachment, the NY Senate will not vote to convict? Or is that just a DC thing?
He made clumsy unsuccessful passes at five young women. Three or four of them worked for him. Bad but I am not sure his conduct is termination worthy. I smell an Al Franken level hit job. Does Kirsten Killabrand want to be governor?

Read what you just posted. Much of the attack on Franken was pushed and organized behind the scenes via GOP money and internet trolls. We know that. And a healthy dose of self righteousness on the behalf on a Senator. His removal was grossly disproportionate to his alleged offenses. And who’s sitting in his seat now? A Liberal Lion. Nope. America got screwed far more on that affair than any of his accusers.
If we allow an allegation to automatically become fact just on the nature of the allegation you can bet they will be a Linda Tripp field day in America.

No, it’s really just a political dynasty in action. Daddy Cuomo was well-liked (as far as I remember), so Andy Tough Guy assumes it’s his birthright.
And his brother being on CNN sure doesn’t hurt.
