What a clear demonstration of the bias of the police…focus on the anti-Trump people simply because they didn’t expect the pro-Trump people to do anything agains the law. That bias led to them not being prepared in the face of an obviously agitated crowd bent on attacking our government to stop the election process of Biden, and lots of pain and suffering, and a few deaths. It’s just more of the same, a systemic bias towards conservative white people and against non-whites and liberals. Not every cop is a white supremacist, but the entire police force giving this kind of deference to white people encourages that white supremacy.
It’s important to note that both sides were surprised…the police by the insurrection, and the insurrectionists because the police didn’t join their lines and storm the Capitol with them. That belief system is being exposed, and it needs to be shredded and replaced, especially within the police but also within the nation.
Well, considering all the BLM, AntiFa, Soccer Moms, Red Hat Society Ladies, Book Club members, and Boy Scouts storming the Capitol, it showed very good judgement.
Does that include congresscritters?
Lofgren quoted the department’s internal investigation that reviewed information from a radio transmission directing “all outside units’ attention” to not look for “any pro-Trump in the crowd,” before adding they were “only looking for any anti-Trump.” Lofgren did not identify the officer.
