Report: Capitol Police Defend Jan 6 Instructions To Zero In On ‘Anti-Trumpers’ | Talking Points Memo

I guess someone didn’t get the memo that the anti-Trump protesters weighed in for the last time, definitively, two months before.

And MarshaFuckingBlackburn didn’t bother to show up and vote.

Marsha can shrivel up and blow away.
She’s a hate-filled lying hypocritical bigot and an embarrassment to Tennessee.

Now ask me how I really fell about the sorry-ass bitch.

When are we going to hear if Repubs gave guided tours the day before?

I am trying to think of the journalistic reason for not including the following:

The Capitol Police disputed that reading, saying in a statement Thursday:

"The radio call has been misquoted and is lacking full and necessary context. The radio call does not mean USCP was only looking out for anti-Trump counter protestors. The next radio transmission requests that officers be on the lookout for a pro-Trump protester carrying a possible weapon.”

Capitol Police added that radio transmissions from Jan. 6 are not under an internal investigation.

Honest to God…If Trump said BLM was ‘bad’ they went in with tear gas and blasted protesters sitting in the PARK…if he said they were ‘coming again’ they searched for ‘anti-Trumpers’ and disregarded weapon carrying white boys. You CANNOT make this crap up…at the SAME TIME the GOPpers in Congress are complaining that DC is ‘too black’ to be a state. WTF?

That’s not actually disputing it. So they’re looking for a guy with a gun if pro-trump, but if AntiFa, they’re just looking for them all.

TPM

The audio of the broadcast has not yet been publicly released by the Capitol Police or Congress.

CNN

"With regards to pedestrian traffic on – on the grounds today, we anticipate a – a large presence for pro-Trump participants. What we’re looking for is any anti-Trump counter protestors," the transcript reads, according to the USCP statement.

But the USCP statement also acknowledges that officers were instructed to look out for potential counter demonstrators on January 6 despite the fact that sources and public testimony about the events that day warned of potential violence from pro-Trump protesters.

CNN (continued)

The radio call does not mean USCP was only looking out for anti-Trump counter protestors. The next radio transmission requests that officers be on the lookout for a pro-Trump protester carrying a possible weapon,” the statement adds, though the department did not provide a transcript of the subsequent broadcast.

I just want to hear the recordings.

There were fights before the 6th (it’s unfortunate, but thanks to ‘45’, every city was ‘Portland’ or came close to it), but USCP is the umpteenth (unfortunate) source to stupidly say/suggest that AntiFas is responsible for 1/6.

If the above is true, they need to show their work.

Why stupidly? Nancy set the whole thing up. Refused the request from the Sergeant-at-Arms for any reinforcements or to arm the front line, so that the police would be guaranteed to be overwhelmed.

Even had a few insider cops who opened up doors to let the AntiFa at the front of the crowd in in several places. Meanwhile, the AntiFa at the back of the crowd were pressing forward, leaving the MAGA unable to go anywhere but forward, into the building, to escape the AntiFa nipping at their heels.

All to disrupt the planned tossing of electoral votes which would have handed trump a triumphant victory, and it worked, solidly. The remaining republicans were too scared to continue objecting.
