Attorney General Bill Barr has known about investigations involving Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings since at least this spring, the Wall Street Journal reported late Thursday.

So like did Barr pull a Reverse Comey here?

Well bless his little heart. Could be he was hoping against hope that an actual ‘scandalous’ case would emerge in the final hours, and Barr wanted to keep his powder dry til then. Could be trying to avoid capital punishment. Now that he’s out of a job in a month, could also be looking to get on Soros’s payroll (Joke! Haha.) Either way, f*** Billy Barr, f*** Trump. All of which reminds me, I should put in my time-off request for Biden-Harris inauguration.

Barr did the right thing for once and I have to wonder why. This is really going to set Trump off on a bender.

“Two sources told the Journal that the broader investigation had been going on for at least a year”

A year, with the FBI digging through your tracks, a year and nothing? I’m guessing that’s a really good indication of a nothingburger.

That’s according to the headline, maybe.

Here’s what the text says:

It remains unclear exactly when or how Barr learned of the inquiries, but

investigators — likely quite aware of the potential impact of their work and the President’s interest in fodder to smear his opponent — tried to keep the cases at a very low profile by taking few obvious steps in the weeks before the November election according to the Journal.

A year isn’t a long time for an investigation of complicated financial dealings and they may have also drug it out to appease Barr.

This case must be so bad he fears criminal exposure. Barr was never shy before. He is the one who ordered the Arkansas AG to look at Clinton in 1992

I agree with @cervantes that LowBarr didn’t necessarily do “the right thing” – but I too wonder why they didn’t pull a Comey and let this out just prior to the election, especially under pressure from BLOTUS and considering how effectively Comey’s intervention gave Hillary’s run the coup de grâce.

Something smells fishy here…

It is more likely he didn’t know, especially when they could have released it that Hunter was being investigated when Biden became the Dem candidate.

Maybe because the investigation came up empty.

That’s my read on it too. I wish I could share the look on my face right now. It’s one of disturbed confusion.

It is tragic that we have to rightfully distrust the motives and integrity of the FBI and DOJ.

"Yet the efforts to keep the investigations quiet to avoid appearing to impact the election’s outcome accord with Justice Department guidelines."

Still does does nothing to diminish my loathing for Barr, which is at approximately 0.7 kilo-suns.

It’s possible Barr can’t stand Trumpolini. In fact, it’s quite possible no one can.

I find it almost impossible to believe that Barr did the right thing, I have to wonder if Barr working so close to Trump finally realized that something is wrong with him and see the damage 4 more years would wrought.

I don’t think that matters, just getting in the press that Hunter was being investigated would have damaged Biden and I can’t figure out why it did not happen, unless the investigators had some integrity and Barr never knew about it.

I thought we were done with all that in the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and so on.

Nothing, compared to what this will set loose. Gonna be quite a weekend!
