He has many friends in Ukraine, they expected Zelensky to win, and the victory was amazing. What’'s amazing if people expected it? But I guess looking for logic in Trump is a worthless exercise…

Was this transcript moved to the code word, intelligence-sensitive server as well?

As as been pointed out a million times before, it’s obvious all world leaders know they need to verbally fellate the US president. Not that I read many memorandums of president on president phone calls, but I doubt many of them have the foreign leader telling the US leader what a great example they are. It’s disturbing.

And trump is a robot, but also the stupidest robot ever. It’s like he’s been programmed to say, “We have the greatest economy ever”, and therefore can’t not say it. He literally can’t understand the difference between a phone conversation with a foreign leader, in which this type of propaganda is pointless, and one of his his Nuremberg rallies. He doesn’t realize how stupid he sounds saying it, either.

You know – when you rob a bank on Friday – showing video surveillance of you in the bank not robbing it the day before doesn’t make you innocent.

Trump: You see I was at the bank no attempted robbery!

I wonder if this was the call that Trump has always had on his mind (“perfect call”) and the one he intended to release from the beginning, just some of the morons that work for him released the actual July 25th call.

If I were Speaker Pelosi I would tell Trump this call is not exculpatory, which I would explain by saying it doesn’t tend to show he’s innocent.

I love you Speaker Pelosi.:heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

After reading through the comments from our president who knows words, has the best words, I understand why his keepers put the transcripts under lock and key. A national embarrassment, 24/7.

“When I owned Miss Universe, they always had great people. Ukraine was always very well represented. They were really hot. I’d just walk into the dressing rooms and grab them. When you’re a star they let you do anything,” Trump says.

Which calls does he think are perfect? All of them, Katie.

Just replace Love with Logic, and still works.

Just chalk it up to Trump’s paranoia of a Deep State trying to make him look foolish.

Something else interesting about this rough transcript. It’s different than the “read-out” summary of the call released by the WH right after it occurred. From WaPo:

Rough transcript conflicts with White House April readout of Trump/Zelensky call

After Trump spoke to Zelensky to congratulate him on his election victory in April, the White House put out a summary of the call, as it often does after the president speaks to foreign leaders.

In the readout of the call, the White House wrote that Trump “expressed his commitment to work together with President-elect Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people to implement reforms that strengthen democracy, increase prosperity, and root out corruption.”

But nowhere in the rough transcript of the call released by the White House Friday morning did Trump mention corruption in their 16-minute conversation.

The closest Trump came to offering his support for Ukraine was a reference to his ownership of the Miss Universe pageant.

“When I owned Miss Universe, they always had great people. Ukraine was always very well represented,” Trump said. “We’ll have a lot of things to talk about, but we’re with you all the way.”

To make that look like usual and normal policy. It was a head fake.

So I call you on Monday to wish you happy Birthday and say “hey…lets hit Sneakers for a beer a ball game on Saturday”

On Wednesday I call you and threaten to cut your head off with a chainsaw because someone told me you stole my lawnmower.

The cops say I want to hear that call. So I let them hear the Birthday call.

Childish Trump crap. If there’s one word that describes all these guys, Trump, Rudy and Jordan and Nunes…it’s childish.

Anyone else notice that Trump called Zelensky at 1130 at night in Ukraine…

Trump’s a provincial American. He probably thinks it’s EST all over the world. No problem though. Ukrainian’s eat supper very late and Zel was probably on his first after dinner Cognac at 11.30 PM.

What I would love to see is an analysis of this call relative to the July call, regarding their word counts vs. reported call lengths.

I may just be paranoid, but I am still suspicious that significant chunks of the July call were omitted. At the time the first call memo was released, some people remarked that the provided memo seemed short, that a re-enactment of the call based on the memo came up much less than the reported length of the call.

If we also have the call length of this first call, we would now have an apples-to-apples comparison that would offer insight on this point.

Vindman testified that there were two significant omissions-- that Burisma was explicitly named, and that trump said something about tapes of Biden.

Other than that, he said it’s basically all there.

Don’t forget that the re-enactment didn’t account for translations happening, so you have to factor that in as well.
