Trump’s release of this transcript is another self-inflicted wound.

His defense narrative is that he has always been very concerned about corruption in Ukraine. The contemporaneous WH report of the 4/21 call supported that anti-corruption narrative very well.

Now he has kicked the legs out from under that narrative, revealed how his staff cleans up after him, and shown that WH descriptions of his conduct cannot be trusted.

Pretty good for one blow.

I am now fully convinced that our president is the most honest and trustworthy president we’ve ever had.
And that all the bribery, corruption of public offices, placement of acting heads that are loyalists, and releasing classified intelligence to other nations was right and good.
TPM should just shut down entirely and Josh should go back to his old barista job.
