READ: Two DC Residents Impersonated DHS Agents, Tried To Trick Secret Service, Feds Say | Talking Points Memo

The DOJ accused two D.C. men on Wednesday of orchestrating an expensive and high-profile scheme to ingratiate themselves with federal agents and members of the White House Secret Service detail, but was short on details about how they executed such a plot — or why they allegedly did it.

Find out where the money behind this came from and lock these two guys up.

and members of the White House Secret Service detail,

This is just bonkers. What is the level of oversight if this kind of thing can involve security around the President and First Lady? They shouldn’t even be allowed near the cat!

DJT impersonated a President. He, his supporters and enablers are all corrupt, criminal cross dressers.

The WHY is what is foxing me. What the hell was their end game?

‘Taherzadeh’ is the Russian translation/transliteration of ‘Tucker’, many people are saying.

While the names might suggest a foreign intelligence connection, their conduct has such a law enforcement fanboy element that you I wonder if these are just Rittenhouse types who are more pathetic than nefarious?

What I’d like to know is why isn’t this a bigger story in the MSM? The Washington Post has it buried in DC local news. I don’t see it on the front page of any of the news web sites. I wouldn’t even know about it if it wasn’t for TPM. This seems like a really big deal to me.

There is a litany of stories about the shenanigans Secret Service agents get involved with. Going back a generation now. Much of it criminal in nature; weapons, drugs, prostitutes, drunkenness, dereliction of duty, just a heap of weird, stupid bullshit. Why the hell the agency isn’t reined in is beyond me.

I would agree but for the money they seem to be throwing around.

It almost smells like a Fruman/Parnas thing, but I don’t think even Rudes would go that low and outside.

  1. Postal inspectors FTW. Again

  2. Pleased to see the scammees got suspended. Hope they get fired soon. The rot is deep in the Secret Service if a clownish scheme like this can get traction. There are lots of ways to become compromised step by step, without noticing until it’s too late, but free tvs and apartments? Come on!

This is so weird I can’t even figure it’s Sacha Baron Cohen.

The affidavit recounts several interviews that the FBI had with residents of the complex, including one resident who agreed to go through training to become “deputized” as a DHS agent. That training purportedly involved Taherzadeh shooting the person with an airsoft rifle as Ali watched to “evaluate their pain tolerance and reaction,” before directing the person to “conduct research on an individual that provided support to the Department of Defense and intelligence community.”

This level of Colonel Flaggism would typically involve wing nuts.

This is what I’m waiting to hear about. Some people have way too much money to spend, so I suppose it’s possible this was an elaborate cosplay game. A foreign-funded op wouldn’t normally be this easy to uncover. You’d want to turn someone actually employed in one of the Fed agencies.

There better be some follow-up on USSS agents receiving gifts too. If that’s not illegal or against agency rules it should be!

“The complaint was filed one day after four Secret Service members were placed on administrative leave in connection with the allegations.”

That’s disturbing.

Minor corrections.

And at this point, we really don’t know what the end game of all of this was. It appears many very terrible things were possible. And but for the postal inspector asking the FBI about these two, it looks like whatever the objective was, it may well have been realized.

I think the “why” does not have to be a specific operation — cozying up to Secret Service and other law enforcement agents is a way of learning about their procedures — and potential vulnerabilities. Again, not sure that is what is happening here, since a foreign intelligence service could just ask MBS who could ask Jared…
