Can you guys get a freaking editor? ā€œDrops reportā€ can mean ā€œreleases the report,ā€ or it can mean ā€œdrops the report/project altogether.ā€ Which mean significantly different thingsā€¦

ENGLISH! How do it work?

Christ, itā€™s like reading Yglesias in the old days, only worse.

Only on page vii but how this Senate could not impeach, or invoke the 25th, is an abomination.

ā€œThe Committee found that Manafortā€™s presence on the Campaign and proximity to
Trump created opportunities for Russian intelligence services to exert influence over, and acquire confidential information on, the Trump Campaign.ā€

What will Trump do today to deflect from this, start a war, send the troops in to Chicago, what?

Agreed. When I first read the title, I took ā€œdroppedā€ for ā€œomittedā€.

Manafort is a piece of work.

As if anyone needed further confirmation of that.

Why do I need to read a 966-page report from partisan never Trump deep state Senate hacks?
Yet another collusion illusion.

And besides Billy Barrā€™s fine legal mind and eye has determined that ā€˜The special counselā€™s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential electionā€™. Case closed. Moving on.

The Trump campaign, per the report, did no due diligence on Manafort, hiring him ā€œafter conducting no known vetting of him.ā€

Thatā€™s BS, Lynne Patton did a deep dive on his background and pronounced him a vital campaign hire.

ā€¦ nope ā€¦ let him proceed
ā€¦ merrily marching into the bank with a big bag full of counterfeit money
andā€¦ absolutely NO legitimate story to explain how he got it ā€¦
andā€¦ nothing but a stupid look to wear on his face when he gets pummeled brutally as he is reminded over and over and over that he had already been told that this ā€œintelā€ that he claimed was totally fabricated.
ā€¦ if only there was a way to get him to swear under oath to some facet of his pile of garbage & the bring action against himā€¦ Geez ā€¦ he makes Jim Bunning look coherent.

From the excerpts, I feel like every post I ever wrote on the #trumprussia conspiracy has been completely validated by the Senate Intel Committee report and Iā€™m mad as hell about it.

It was plainly obvious that Mueller had more than enough to indict Junior, the Trump Campaign and Manafort for conspiring to violate the federal election campaign act. It could not be more clear that they sought foreign help for the election which is plainly against the law. They also covered it up. Mueller dropped the ball. This report lays that out in stark terms.

The only consolation prize is that Kamala Harris, who sits on this committee, will now be free to use this report as ammo in the campaign against Trump/Pence.

Just like you and @tlc_tpm I read ā€œdroppedā€ as ā€œdiscontinued working onā€¦ā€

RE: an editor, it seems the general impression most of us have is that itā€™s not important to Josh or any of the others that stuff is often garbled or misleading ā€“ there is seldom, if ever, any correction. :smirk:

Thatā€™s the only silver lining at this point.

Plus now we know our suspicions are confirmed. As horrifying as that is.

Mueller was passively corrupt, like many of his Republican predecessors in similar roles. His reputation is slightly better than Comeyā€™s, to me . In short, he ended his career in disgrace

Is this the same bunch of Republican Senators who are watching as AG Barr parades around trying to find an excuse to prosecute those involved in proving the treason?

Yes - it is.
