OK, I have tried hard not to cry since last Thursday evening. I was so cried out after Elijah and John. This video broke the dam.
eh, to be expected, and do you really what these ghouls lurking around such a hero’s casket? that alone makes my skin crawl.
McConnell and McCarthy are probably afraid of a repeated scene of booing like Trump received…none of the Republicans who are crapping on Ginsburg’s legacy are very popular in DC right now.
Also, the plan is for Trump to nominate someone tomorrow, and the Senate to have its vote on Oct. 26th, about a month later. From RBG’s death to the vote is just a little longer than the time between Scalia’s death and Obama nominating Garland, and will be the shortest nominating process of any justice in the past several decades. The Republicans deserve all the scorn for the way they are doing this that the nation can put out, and hopefully that scorn comes out a week later.
There are many ways of showing love.

What a sweet, heartfelt tribute.
This was the best tribute to her and very sweet.
And one the mango mussolini can’t even come close to.
Always remember and never forget: he’s a dismal failure. Period.
Maybe they were disinvited by the family.
Wouldn’t that be great?
Don’t hang by the neck, waiting…
Heh. I remember consoling myself as an ill-paid magazine editor in the Eighties that at least I wasn’t a billion dollars in debt like that Donald Trump guy.
Yeah. My first thought when reading this was that the poor guy must be heartbroken. How could you not be after spending time helping such a generous and determined soul achieve joy at pushing through another barrier?
I think she would have gotten a big kick out of this.
I’m quite sure if 45 got down on the floor, let alone got down on the floor to attempt a pushup, he’d never be able to get back up unassisted. You know, “he’s fallen and he can’t get up!”
Just when I thought I’d stopped crying…
Me too.
I am glad they stayed away. Their presences would have tainted the dignity and honor of the occasion.
The news reports indicated that they had been invited because of their leadership roles, but each declined to attend. From my viewpoint it counts as a final thumbing of their noses at this great American.
I would not be surprised if the reason was that they wanted to avoid being booed!
And the floor would cave in too!
Excellent point! This made me laugh, thank you!
