Ratcliffe, Trump’s DNI Pick, Has Little Interest In Spy Agencies

Rep. Daniel Ratcliffe (D-TX), President Donald Trump’s pick to be director of national intelligence, has displayed relatively little interest in the spy agencies he’d oversee, never taking a House Intelligence Committee trip overseas to learn more about the agencies’ work.

displayed relatively little interest in the spy agencies he’d oversee

And why would he, his mandate is to investigate those agencies, since some employees still have the audacity to be loyal Americans first and to stay out of politics

Ratcliffe has no interest in anything but power.

(Anybody else find it fitting that his surname is “Ratcliffe” – you know like “Rat going over a cliffe”… Karma appears to have a sense of humor.)

I’d say his promotion to DNI is the Peter Principle at work – except that he was already completely useless as a member of Congress.

Er, shouldn’t “Rep. Daniel Ratcliffe (D-TX)” actually be “Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX)”?

Kakistocracy.

But he’s keenly interested in being Trump’s stooge and that clinched the deal.

Congress and the Intelligence Committee could actually improve if Ratcliffe is no longer there.

If the Republicans in the Senate confirm this POS … well, it will certainly fit the pattern and continue the downward trend of needing any ‘qualifications’ for a position other than fealty to and eagerness to help protect Trump.

And yet watch the pearl-clutching if some later democratic president nominates anyone who is not impeccably overqualified and right-wing-vetted to any position whatsoever.

Yes, someone’s been watching the Harry Potter movies.

Next thing, you’ll be looking for actual competence in Trump’s appointees.

But wouldn’t it be a lot nicer if it WERE Daniel Ratcliffe?

Well, he’d be just as qualified, anyway.

That’s an insult to him!

He spouts conspiracy theories and judging from his claim that he arrested 200 illegals in a day appears to be a cross between the “most interesting man in the world” and Joe Isuzu. Tell me again why he’s fit to lead the intelligence agency.

Ratcliffe, Trump’s DNI Pick, Has Shown Very Little Interest In Spy Agencies

Of course, the whole point is to make them totally ineffective so that they stop saying mean things about the Boss, the real boss, Don Vladimir.

The sad part is that those intelligence agencies are full of evangelicals, mormons and plain right-wing nuts, which will actually welcome it.

Its Friday, you all know what that means.

I don’t think Trump has even nominated Ratcliffe yet. A few days ago on the WH lawn Trump said “If he is confirmed.” That sounded like the kiss of death. I’ll go out on a limb and say that we will get a speech or a release from Ratcliffe this afternoon - "It was an honor to be considered for nomination as DNI, but I love my family/district/dog too much to undertake that responsibility at this time. Earlier today, I informed President Trump, the bestest, smartest, most-handsome president ever, that I wish my name to be withdrawn from consideration. "

Why waste money on spy agencies when Putin tells you everything you need to know.
Putin does not have to explain anything ,you just do what you are told and say “yes sir”.

It really dumbfounds me when I look at which committees Republicans place their members on, usually no experience is the go to qualification.
