I’m pretty sure that Nancy, the Capitol Police, and the J6 committee will be pretty careful about the prospects of any GOP thugs trying to obstruct another official proceeding, and will therefore be attuned to the security needs of the public hearings. I look forward to Gym Jordan’s attempt to pull an Ashli Babbitt on the public hearings. That would certainly liven them up.

Can’t be said enough. It’s not about them, it’s about the entire rest of the country. That’s who we need to sway. Also, another advantage I see in all this is that it further marginalizes people who try to deny the seriousness of what occurred and it makes it especially hard for moderate GOPers who want to try to walk the line of not being pro or anti-insurrection. If you’re Nancy Mace, you really don’t need this shit going into your next election.
Only one Jordan-Trump phone call documented so far, and that was placed from the White House to Jordan. As to how we get the contents of the call, it’s doubtful that either of them were alone at the time of the call. So it only takes one or two cooperating witnesses to have a pretty good idea of what was said.
Since Jordan is known to have been one of the congressional Republicans plotting with Trump and those in his orbit to object to the ballots, the most obvious explanation was that the call would have been to confirm that the strategy was still on and to confirm that they still had all the objectors lined up even though Pence wasn’t playing along. It’s possible Trump also said something about sending the MAGA rally people to the Capitol to protest the certification. It seems implausible to me that Trump said anything about the plan to have the mob fuck up Congress’s shit, but I guess it’s not impossible.
