Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) on Sunday shed more light into the information former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham provided to the Jan. 6 committee during her interview with the panel last week.
Earlier in the interview, Raskin was asked whether there is evidence supporting the notion that Trump was complicit or actually participated in the insurrection. Raskin replied by pointing to the House’s impeachment of the former president for “incitement of insurrection” as well as a 57-43 vote in the Senate to acquit Trump, with seven Republicans voting to convict the former president, last year.
“The question is to what extent he was implicit in organizing it,” Raskin said.

So, this is a yes, and devastating for Trump. Raskin and Kinzinger today; Thompson and Liz Cheney last week, and Garland and Biden in between are all coalescing on Trump having been involved. And it’s not even tea leaves anymore.
I am very intrigued by this new lines of inquiry comment. Wish he could elaborate, but I understand why he can’t. Whatever that means, it can’t bode well for Trump.
From THE SEERSUCKER WHIPSAW, novel about political organizing in post-colonial West Africa, authored by the great Ross Thomas; campaign manager Clint Shartelle says, about running the titular “whipsaw” con:
“You’re right: I want to steer their mistakes and foment their unease. I want them making bad choices because they’re in a hurry. Because when that happens, there’s a damned good chance of panic.”
Not sure if this drip…drip…drip of info is planned or just happening on its own but it is a beautiful thing. Every night after Lindsey tucks Trump into bed and Hannity counts his little piggies, he has time to think and worry about what will drop tomorrow and then the day after and then… It has to be eating away at him. Maybe there’s a little clot forming somewhere or an artery stretched beyond its capacity?
He absolutely has knowledge of guilt because he never puts anything in writing. Who does that who is not afraid of discovery? The only option left for him is The Stall to allow statutes of limitations to expire. I no longer doubt that he will be charged. My fear is that it will be too late.
“It’s only a problem the closer you get to Donald Trump and you have a handful of people who think they’re above the law,”
Applying the sweat technique. Cheney has been doing it nicely as well. That line is a broadcast in the clear.
“I can say that next week a group of former Trump staff are going to come together, administration officials, are going to come together and we’re going to talk about how we can formally do some things to try and stop him and also, you know, the extremism, that kind of violence and rhetoric that has been talked about and continues to divide our country,” Grisham told CNN in an interview.
So, many of them have figured out it out. Time to be on the other side of the line. It looks good on the resume I guess. Wonder how many in that “group” have done the “I couldn’t imagine, if I only had a clue then…” routine.
I think both the Jan. 6 Committee and now the Biden Admin. are implicitly or explicitly engaged in a pretty devastating psy-op campaign on Trump’s “fragile ego”.
An indictment would be a tough thing for Candidate Trump to overcome, but a complete psychological breakdown would make his candidacy nearly impossible. They need to drive the asshole completely into the insane asylum and a new custom fitted straightjacket. They will need to hire a tent and awning company to find enough canvas, LOL !!
Reading the thread back up to the top, everyone seems in agreement that the committee attempting to make people squirm. Definitely playing people off one another.
she and a group of officials who worked in the Trump administration
Grisham seems to be in the game as well. But I would imagine some caution should be applied considering her past record and behavior. Guess on 1/6 she decided the jig was up.
“Flynn compared insurrectionists to Jesus Christ, saying Jesus at 13 years old went into “the temple and ransacked it. He would be called a domestic terrorist today.”
-Raw Story, 2022
He was then. So they nailed him to a cross.
His problem was he wasn’t packing heat, and he had this philosophy against hurting people. He commands his follows to love.
As I said about Biden’s speech on 1/6, he wouldn’t have said what he did unless he was absolutely sure the dominoes were in place. That those people are making similar statements just seals the coffin.
Rudy Giuliani is very disappointed. If Flynn can’t do it, what hope is there for Rudy? Of course, Lindell may have a word or two on that, but it will be muffled by the coffin he built for himself.
