We should applaud Rep. Raskin for this, and echo his insistence that Director Wray provide such a a briefing to be followed by a Q & A. I would suggest also that newly approved Attorney General Merrick Garland also participate in this briefing.

If white supremacist police officers were kicked off forces nationwide a whole bunch of cruisers would be rendered idle.

Blue Rapture.

Glad Raskin is on this. White supremacists must be removed ASAP. Indeed, an effective filter would be: anyone who does not hold a deeply negative view of Trump should be removed – which would gut the police force as we know it, but maybe then it could be rebuilt how it should be, manned entirely with decent self-aware citizens who are motivated by public service and not getting off on asshole politics and abuse of power.

Right; what are the odds that there are racists within police ranks?

Start with the NY office of the FBI. But not the one in the Dick Wolf show on CBS.

IIRC when the oaf keepers first surfaced they presented themselves as former military and/or former law enforcement. Definitely right wing nut job leanings.

Please remember that opinions are generally free speech. However, actions are real.

When you’re in a position of authority (e.g. the authority to kill someone pretty much when you want to) then some expressed opinions are a form of action. Some expressed opinions may also impair your effectiveness, e.g. if you can’t ever be put on a witness stand because you would be cross-examined.

The problem is that Wray has inexplicably not (yet) been fired and is a white supremacist himself.

Grounds for immediate dishonorable discharge IMO. US servicemen didn’t fight and die so that our enemy could be glorified. Same goes for the fucking S&B. No room for sympathizers of US enemies in our military. NONE.

And yeah, I know, most will join underground militia and consider themselves to be estranged from the US. Making them legitimate targets of law enforcement or worse. You betray the US and what it stands for, you’re its enemy. PERIOD.

I wonder about his sympathies but do you have evidence of this?
