“I wish that Fox News would have carried all of it, because I think it would have helped our party heal” and provided people with “more facts.” He doesn’t get it. Fox News’s positive mission is to attack facts, dissolve them in a soup of lies, make them disappear. It’s like wishing that your dryer provided you with more cold drinks. Category error.

What is keeping Trump highly relevant in our politics is one thing in particular.
The $$$$$$$$$$ being generated by those saying his name for any reason.
It’s a sure winner.
When it has run its course (assuming our Democracy survives) the parties will adjust and adapt, with some outcomes more or less unexpected.
