I have never understood how (or why) a mostly Democratic leadership in the Washington State Government will not consider an income tax in the state, in favor of the regressive sales taxes and then put damnable "service charges and “surcharges” on absolutely everything they can dream up. It is absolutely NUTZ!!!
ETA: In 2023, Washington state ranked 6th among the States and District of Columbia in per capita personal income. Now sure, Seattle yearly incomes average about $100,000, and the rest of the state has more modest incomes, but still…

No, that’s not the point at all. A news source is responsible for informing the public, for keeping politicians honest, for reporting truth to power. When a source shows they are no longer willing to do so, they are not a reliable source, and do not deserve a penny of your money.

It occurred to me today that beyond firing Jack Smith, Trump doesn’t give a shit about anything - except making more money, of course. He’s wooing every evil CEO under the sun, saying “why not” about no income tax and every outrageous proposal, essentially just agreeing to anything he thinks might get him elected. After Smith is gone - and all the other lawsuits - Trump will sit on his ass and do absolutely nothing for four years except play golf. I don’t really think he’s interested in a third term - too much work. Sure, he might “delegate” everything to JD, but he also might not. He couldn’t care less.

Officials, this week, announced that fencing will be erected around the U.S. Capitol building from Jan. 5 through Jan. 21 for security purposes.
I wonder if Congress has put an embargo on their after Xmas Capitol Building tours for their back-home families, friends, and state militia groups? If not, I would suggest it.
