My father spent a career as an espionage agent looking into the bullshit Russia pulls. Dispositive proof but “Russia denies”. Russia is the nation state version of Trump. Small economy, big mouths and little modern achievement. In the pre USSR period Russia was a giant of the arts and sciences. Now is a scab country with an extractive economy and 135 million people that are desperate to be lied to. When was the last time you saw “Made in Russia” on anything? It’s a rinky dink shithole of a place that anchors most of the world’s suffering.
I’m glad to hear that he is recovering. My advice would be to stay in Germany, because returning to Russia will surely be a death sentence.
