Ex-National Security Adviser John Bolton’s former colleagues admitted in a press conference just hours after his ousting that there were “definitely” areas of disagreement between themselves and Bolton when it came to foreign policy.

Bolton’s likely replacement, Charles Kupperman, is a fanatical neocon veteran tool of Frank Gaffney and the arms industry.

“I’m never surprised,” he said, “and I don’t mean that on just this issue.”

“…but I have, more or less permanently, moved into my panic room until Dec 2020” Pompeo added.

“There were many times ambassador Bolton and I disagreed, that’s to be sure, but that’s true with lots of people with whom I interact,” he said.

Yeah, like Bolton wanted to kill 80 million Iranians and Pompeo only wanted to kill 40 million…

Has a new Director of National Intelligence named since Dan Coats resigned and Trump withdrew John Ratcliffe’s name? At least the new National Security Advisor doesn’t need Senate confirmation. That might speed up the process.

I know everyone has talked about this for an awfully long time. There were definitely places where ambassador and I, Bolton and I had different views about how we should proceed.”

On the NatSec front, does anyone else find the term used for what N. Korea is firing/testing currently odd?

North Korea fires 2 projectiles after offering talks with US

“Projectiles”

This is not unique to NBC, it has become almost universal in the media. When did we start referring to missiles as projectiles? Is this another case of people bending to Trump’s reality? He doesn’t want to admit N. Korea is firing missiles, so everyone will need to start calling them projectiles. WTF?
