A man who walked into a convenience store in a suburb of Lansing, Michigan without a mask Tuesday morning allegedly stabbed an elderly man who argued with him about it, a Michigan State Police spokesperson said.

Iâm not trying to be picky but the argument may have had something to do with an executive order by Governor Whitmer put into effect yesterday that everyone that goes into a business wears a mask. That may shed some context to what happened between the two men. Of course its no excuse for violence.

As a southeast Michigan resident, Iâm glad to see so many local sheriffs publicly declining to enforce mask laws is going so well.
Except it was the 43 year old that ended up dead (he could have been mentally ill), not the 77 year old that was refused service. Heâs the one that was wearing the mask.

The state police spokesperson, Lt. Brian Oleksyk, told reporters Tuesday that MSP was taking over the investigations of both incidents due to the involvement of the sheriffâs deputy, who he said had 22 years of experience as a cop. The deputy has not yet been identified.
And Iâm not sure why this sounds off to me. Not that I donât think that the MSP shouldnât investigate but why state that the sheriffâs deputy had 22 years of experience?

Its become pretty lax on the west side of the state as well. It started out as a show of solidarity until those morons started making a ruckus in the State Capitol and raising a fuss. Little by little some people didnât begin wearing them voluntarily and businesses backed down from telling customers they had to or theyâd have to leave. Now its mandatory and I doubt a lot of businesses want to be caught telling customers they have to even though its their responsibility towards everyone that comes to do business with them. Iâm finding this more and more now. Letâs see if âmandatoryâ makes a difference. With some people it never will but there is a $500 fine if they donât. So yeah, whoâs gonna call the police?
