The 77 year old man wearing a mask was not refused service. The 43 year old literally brought a knife to to begin a fight with an armed officer of the law.

I fear the post-tRump era will be a rotten shithole for quite some time too.
the ability to effectively communicate and recognized shared values, even if limited, escapes our society at this time.
Post-tRUmp I do not see myself, and I do not feel as if I am a huge outlier, really being willing to listen to, let alone respect/take seriously into consideration any opinion a MAGAt or Qook or trumpian evangelical wishes to espouse, to me they have made clear that their decent into tRumpâs surreality is complete and their opinions are not based in reality and have no value in logical debate or in guiding the future that my children will grow up in
shorter: I have had enough of their shit for several lifetimes and feel that they are a material threat to my existence (for a example, see the idiocy of today, yesterday, and every day since mid 2015), therefor their opinion does not count, (shit my opinion has less value to them than a week old dog turd on my lawn) so why should I show them any deference?
so when they get even less respect than today, and no longer have trumpâs voice for them to feel heard, what will their reaction be?
the future is very uncertain, I have said to my sister, who knows what comes out of the ass end of this disaster?

Not to be a nuance troll but this isnât the ordinary incident where someoneâs a douche about masks. This guy sounds more like an unstable personality and any situation could have set him off. You donât advance on a cop with a knife because you watch FOX too much.

Apparently, up until yesterday it was individual store policy to come in with a mask on and maintain social distancing. Several businesses created check-outs to protect cashiers and create areas in the checkout lanes where you had to stand to maintain distance. Arrows that nobody follows were put on the floor.
Since it was only essential businesses open at first it was easy to do, to set that up, but now that more businesses were being opened in this new stage for non-essential type businesses, the recommendations were not being followed nearly enough and a mandatory order had to be given.
Iâm glad Whitmer did this but some people in MI will never be content with having others tell them what to do no matter the circumstances, even if it involves stopping the spread of disease for the sake of public health. There will always be oppositional-defiant assholes that want to live by their own set of rules for whatever reason, and fuck everyone else. Unfortunately, there are also a bunch of mini-trumps out there that donât give a shit about anyone but themselves.

A community of people, a country, are supposed to have at least some shared values. If we canât agree on masks, canât agree on democracy, and canât agree on the value of our Republic, it seems certain our problems that Trump ruthlessly exploited, will continue.
While there are always people at the fringes, we have far too many sociopathic Trump supporters for comfort. And the problem with a pandemic is you really canât have more than 10% or so marching to their own tune without it affecting all of us.

I take note of every business that displays a trump sign or flag. I will never do business with any of them. Car repair shops. Motorcycle shops. Convenience stores.
And I take note of every house in my neighborhood with trump stuff, too. Theyâll get nothing but the stink eye from me as I go by.
Finally, but most importantly, Iâve lost all respect for so many co-workers, friends and relatives. I just cannot bring myself to consider a trumper to be a good, kind person. Nobody I want to be around.
