Police responded to reports of an active shooter at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California early Thursday, according to authorities who spoke to the Los Angeles Times.The LA Times reported that at least six people were wounded, including one critically, when a gunman allegedly opened fire on campus. Sheriff’s officials told the LA Times that the suspect is described as a 15-year-old boy wearing a black hat and black clothing.

I’m all for due process. However, if a person is apprehended in public, smoking gun in hand, dead and injured bodies all around them, with video and a mumbled, volunteered “Ya got me”, I’m pressed to justify the lack of a summary execution on the spot.

This is the high school that former Rep. Katie Hill went to, and she still lives nearby. She’s quoted in the LA Times story linked by TPM.

I suppose that Republicans can somehow blame Hill’s indiscretions for the gun violence, since access to guns by people who shouldn’t have them has absolutely nothing to do with it.
