More GOP-controlled county election boards are flouting state law by refusing to certify election results — this time in Pennsylvania.

As far as I know Trumpers won in these Counties.
What will it be like this November if they lose.

Mattinpa can chime in as well, but Berks, Lancaster and Fayette counties are operating like it is 1970 or 1870 . . .

After the midterm vote there will be dozens of counties pulling this same stunt.

That is exactly what they are doing, building a case not to accept the results if they lose in November.

That is these counties are preparing to challenge, most likely in federal court, the State Supreme Court order to count certain ballots if the results in November are not what these Republicans want.

The Pennsylvania Department of State and acting Secretary of the Commonwealth Leigh Chapman filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against the boards of elections in Berks, Fayette and Lancaster counties. All three are controlled by Republicans and have refused to certify undated mail-in ballots in the state’s May 17 primary elections.

When do we get to the contempt of court part? These county BOE officials can spend their time in jail until they comply with the court order to count all votes.

This is a fad, a contagion, perpetrated by bottom-feeding punk-ass wannabee insurrectionists copying the playground bully Trump. It annoys me. Here is photographic evidence of how annoyed I am:

How would that work, exactly? This would seem to be entirely a state problem, and states elect the federal government. On what basis would this become a federal case? (Not saying you’re wrong. I genuinely don’t understand how the feds get involved in something like this)

What I focus on is the recursive nature of government, rights, and assertions of “sovereignty”. Nations insist they can’t be bossed around by the UN. States insist they can’t be bossed around by the feds. Counties insist they can’t be bossed around by their State. Religious cults claim they can abstain from the rules. Individuals adults claim “sovereignty” against all authority. Children claim whatever they want is fine.
