Two questions: Is it true that Trump ordered this? My own first thought was he had a health problem. Second thought: This could be a real emergency internationally, in which case God help us all, or it could be some ridiculous whim. I remember the fear I had in those early days, when he was provoking China and I was glad to wake up every morning to an unburnt world. But it never really went away.
Maybe the Orange Oaf of Office knows the tax returns are his downfallā¦heās toast. He might cut a deal to resign in exchange for no criminal prosecution over his financial felonies. Pence might be sworn in by Labor Day. But, thatās just putting another heinous anus in the Oval Office. Not much improvement. (At least Trump is an atheist and doesnāt strut around professing to be godās chosen)

At least we know Pence is not being fired (today). Trump would have waited for him to land then tweeted his firing and complained if he took government transportation to return to DC.
There are also conflicting reports that the plane had to turn around mid-air. NBC originally confirmed that but now the WH is pushing back. That makes it seem to me that weāre talking about a tantrum or whim and no one wants to publicly admit that.
This is where my vote lies. Maybe heās booting him from the 2020 ticket, though?

It is literally impossible to tell if there is some sort of real crisis unfolding that necessitates the presence of the VP, or Trump needs Pence to help him look for the White House TV remote. Either is equally plausible.
