Maybe someone from the cabinet decided to call Pence in to talk Trump down from something crazy.

I’m not getting my hopes (or fears) up. This whole 4th of July thing feels so slapdash and last-minute, that Trump probably just didn’t want Pence out of DC. He needs Pence to coordinate the Bible-humping part of the show.

I’m guessing that’s what happened. Trump’s imaginary 4th of July coronation isn’t going well because it wasn’t properly planned. Maybe Trump screamed, “Get Pence to fix that” and, when someone remarked that Mikey wasn’t there, Trump had a real melt down. I have to believe that there are some individuals around Trump who fear what their irrational leader could do and try to placate him at all costs.
