House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made clear that President Trump “must pay a price” for inciting the deadly insurrection at the Capitol last week, during an interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes” that aired on Sunday.
Sadly Teflon Don 2.0 will probably skate on this too.
OTOH, if he’s impeached after he leaves office he’ll be stripped of his pension, his Secret Service protection AND his ability to run for elected office. Forever!

Pelosi is pissed, pure and simple. This is personal for her now and she won’t let It go. It’s a beautiful thing.
Well, they tried, but some traitor cops pushed the crowds back before they could complete the unification under trump.
Possibly. That requires another vote by the Senate, but only with a simple majority instead of 2/3.
Don’t try to politicize a violent attack on the Capitol by supporters of the president goaded on by prominent GOP senators and most of the Republican representatives. Don’t even try, you big naughties, lest you further divide us.

Many Republican members of the House and Senate are equally guilty.
They know better that Trump is not capable of understanding that he is not the only person that matters.
We should hang their heads in shame.
But the R’s in the Senate won’t go along with impeachment, and trump will once again act invincible. That is the most likely outcome.
And, frankly, its good for Dems if Trump messes up the R primaries in 2024.
They told us to think about how bad Trump’s supporters felt that he didn’t win, but did we say oh go ahead, then, and have another term? Well did we?

The country is as divided now as it’s been since the Civil War and in BOTH CASES, Conservatives take the blame. Democrats didn’t start this shit and they know that. These insurrectionists must be held accountable. Now is the time! We must not back away.
