Following former special counsel Robert Mueller’s congressional hearings, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said on Wednesday that she still isn’t ready to begin impeachment proceeding against President Donald Trump.
Pelosi needs to go.
“Do you motherfuckers really think I’m gonna jump the gun while there’s a perfectly good election to haunt this with? Chill the fuck out.”

Article title doesn’t represent anything that was said in the article, if anything, she seems to be hinting that while right now the House’s battle is through court cases, impeachment still is an option because the court cases are just one aspect of the House’s oversight of the Trump campaign and administration.
“It’s about what information is there,” Pelosi said. “And this isn’t endless. This isn’t endless.”
That statement is extremely open-ended and never once did she say she was standing any an anti-impeachment stance or that impeachment was off the table. TPM shouldn’t be trying to create controversy where this is none, report what was said.
I’m sure the usual suspects will be wringing their hands, but Mueller didn’t tell us anything that wasn’t in the report, so there’s no reason for Nancy to change her approach.

The headline says “anti-impeachment” position, but the article says, basically “not begin yet,” which is not necessarily the same thing.
Why not start impeachment, it’ll be a slam dunk in the Senate? Problem solved.
That really has been my best theory so far. I think Pelosi recognizes the desperate need to take the Senate back in 2020, and I think she’s using meticulous procedure to provoke GOPers into making themselves look like partisan obstructionists dozens of times over.
To be clear: I don’t think this is about the self-interest of current Dem congressfolk. I think she’s trying to provide fodder for Dem candidates while allowing the public pressure to build to the point that nobody with a brain will stay home in 2020.
She is a horrible Democratic Speaker. Babies are dying in concentration camps at our southern border, and Russians are preparing to game the 2020 elections. Mueller gave her the roadmap to impeachment today.

Well, she will certainly get Republican cooperation on that point. It is all they know.
He referred lawmakers to his report 43 times.
Get it right: It is one trick Pelosi is the one who is blathering on.
She is going to exonerate Trump the way she did Bush and Cheney.

Pelosi thinks democratic voters are as wimpy and self-dealing as democratic party leaders. I don’t think she understands or cares that we think saving the country now is more important than her election strategies for 2020-2021.
Her continued inertia about our actively criminal (and mentally ill) president is only underlined by the flurry of subpoenas which the WH and DOJ are rejecting. Its made obvious that something effective (impeachment hearings where the witnesses can’t refuse to answer or get away with hedging and lying) has to be done right now.
