House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) slammed one of President Donald Trump’s leading COVID-19 experts, Dr. Deborah Birx, again on Monday morning, saying that the doctor has “enabled” Trump’s disinformation crusade during the pandemic.
Can’t be any fun to be stuck between Pelosi the rock and Trump the hard place.

Maybe that’s because people are still doing it because the President said it was a good idea, which you mealy-mouthed your way out of, rather than coming out forcefully and saying no to it.
Pelosi’s strategy, without question now, is to drive a wedge between Birx and Trump. And judging by Trump’s earlier tweet, she’s succeeding beautifully. Now she practically forces Birx to respond to the bleach treatment advocated by Trump, which will only serve to further strain their relationship. It would appear Birx may not last much longer. And it again shows how easy it is to manipulate Trump.

Pobrecita Birx. Whatever she did before with her career, being a Trump enabler is what will be in her Wikipedia biography forever.
She’s a fool, and should be remembered as such. She thought she could walk that fine line and get away with it, between being a toady and being respected. But you can’t, not when you’re defending something like Trump. You’re either a toady or you resign. Now everyone forever will know she’s a toady.

To the House speaker’s point about Lysol, Birx downplayed Trump’s astonishing remark amid the backlash and chastised the media for covering it.
Two questions for Dr. Birx:
How many people have died because politicians adopted the optimistic scenarios that the President was pushing and that you legitimatized?
Name a single thing that had a positive impact that would not have happened if Trump had fired you for telling the truth.
Under that bus Dr. Birx! You should have followed Dr. Fauci’s lead and preserved your integrity.
People died because of Birx. That’s eternal.
I would be far more concerned about her role in having COVID data from hospitals bypass CDC and into some black hole. THAT is frightening.

People have died because she lied and painted very optimistic scenarios and states opened too soon. I do not know what Trump promised, but she is unlikely to get it, this woman has blood in her hands.

A real doctor with any sense of shame would have resigned long ago. Recognized the massive federal failure and stepped down. It says much about Birx that she’s still there, legitimizing this administration–or trying to.
My advice to Dr. Birx is to start drinking heavily, if she isn’t already mostly drunk by 09:00.
