Two days after saying that that the House will vote to appoint impeachment managers this week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) expressed no regrets in holding onto the impeachment articles for three weeks.

Nor should you, Madame Speaker. Every day more info comes out on how horrifically unsuited the Mango Mussolini is for this country with the job Russia gave him…

I agree with Nancy that the gap of time was important for people to hear the words “witnesses”, “documentation”, “fair trial”, and “cover-up”.

The ball is truly in McConnell’s court now. Whatever type of trial he presides over will be the last word. After the trial, nobody is going to care or talk about a 3 week delay in sending the articles.

Is McConnell having second thoughts on admitting on camera that he attends to break the oath that he is required by the constitution to take?

Is Stephanopoulus ever going to grill an R as hard about their malfeasance and coverup and lies and lack of ANY exoneration evidence, or the huge preponderance of incriminating evidence? How about the fact that if Chump had a single person with exonerating evidence he would be pounding the hell out of that…but he doesn’t, so he can’t?

Well done, Madame Speaker.

WRT the Speaker’s comment “isn’t worth impeachment.”

Madam Speaker has shown herself strong as well as adept and seems well aware that Trump is a small man utterly unfit for the position he holds so, “isn’t worth,” is probably the heart of her personal feeling even though she must know that impeachment, whether it succeeds in the Senate or not, is imperative as an institutional matter: The Ginger Git may not be worth it but the country is.

Putin has Moscow Mitch’s back and Trump’s front.
Until the Repubs lose their majority and Russia is removed from the GOP there is only so much the Speaker can do.

I would bet my house that Reptile McConnell would never submit to the kind of interview that Stephanopoulos just gave Nancy.

Really good appearance by Pelosi on ABC. These shows could actually provide a lot of value if they would, you know, actually called mainline Dems (and I mean real Dems, not people like Joe Lieberman) and actually discussed facts in their panel discussions. These shows are generally trash, however. They’re a platform for the GOP to spread lies and spin.

Makes you wonder all these talking heads questioning Madame Speaker decision,is its because its a WOMAN making these decisions ? McConnell decisions on the impeachment trial go unquestioned.

The elephant in the room is this:

Are the American People satisfied with a show “trial” in the U.S. Senate

  • in which the Senate Majority Leader is consulting with the Accused?

  • in which the Senate Majority Leader, as well as the Accused, will not allow witnesses?

(1) YES, we accept the above

(2) NO, we do not accept the above

The very fact that there are people on this site willing to somehow put some kind of “process” or “tactic” or “strategy” blame on Pelosi if the American People decide to accept the above is the single most disheartening aspect of my visits on this site as a poster.

This is what got him elected
stop breaking off conversation by adults to address

I suspect that Pelosi knows a few things we don’t. She seems confident that this is the right time so, let’s just see how all of this plays out.

Her comment about McConnell participating in the cover-up was very good and appropriate.

I’m waiting for some intrepid reporter to ask McConnell and Graham why they are going to willingly and deliberately perjure themselves by taking an oath to do impartial justice when neither of them has any such intention.

The Military Draft would have produced people who would have had some incentive to watch these shows** (like I did with my Dad in the 1960s).

Trump would not have received the Nomination in 2016 if we had a Military Draft.

Personal vulnerability in the face of presidential lunacy is a motivator.

** and these shows would have had people like Stephanopoulos asking different types of questions

The quote that will live forever, regarding this impeachment.

" House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday invoked the nation’s birth in defending her decision to delay sending impeachment articles to the Senate. “Our Founders, when they wrote the Constitution, they suspected that there could be a rogue president,” she said. “I don’t think they suspected that we could have a rogue president and a rogue leader in the Senate at the same time.”
