There were a number of problems with the Mueller report and the way it was handled but I think, in the end, it didn’t prove Trump himself conspired with Russians and so it didn’t move the needle enough. The problem for Trump is that Ukraine proves Russia.

This news is great cheer to me and may confirm some things I’ve been thinking.
I wonder if the Ukraine thing accelerated the time-table a bit more than some may be comfortable with. Still, given all the court challenges, etc. perhaps this won’t be a thing. I imagine at this point impeachment could stretch out long enough for maximum damage.

My biggest single concern all along is that they had for once in their lives better be smart, disciplined and strategic in how they go about this. No blathering on, squandering their time, drawing attention to their own pompous selves. Best if they can do it with designated questioners (or a single one), someone with real prosecutorial chops. Because this ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco, this ain’t no foolin around.

But there’s no deal Barr can work up that covers future prosecution at the federal level (unless it includes a Pence pardon) and there’s certainly not shit all he can do at the state level.

Told you so. Ms. Pelosi gave Trump enough rope to hang himself - at least in the view of her caucus. The Ukraine thing was the overreach Pelosi KNEW would eventually come.
She is also much better at math than all of youse naysayers. She now has enough votes to start an Impeachment Inquiry, and by next summer, she will have over 10 Articles of Impeachment and the votes to pass them onto the Senate. She will make Trump’s re-election very nearly impossible.
One other fun fact - Pence is complicit and will likely be Impeached at the same time as Trump.
