Only Four Republicans Broke With The Party To Condemn Trump

President Donald Trump’s grip on his party was evident Tuesday evening, as only four Republicans were willing to break with the pack and vote in favor of a resolution condemning him for his racist comments.

“If we’re gonna deal with things that people are saying, than we ought to deal with it on both sides of the aisle.”

So now there are bad people on both sides?

““The resolution is a partisan effort that doesn’t move the ball forward,” Mitchell said. “If we’re gonna deal with things that people are saying, than we ought to deal with it on both sides of the aisle.””

How about you start to deal with by condemning the leader of the country’s outrageous remarks? It’s only partisan because you spineless Republican wimps either are scared to call Trump on his racist language, or you agree with it.

That’s a possible interpretation; but I would ask: Well, then, Mr. Mitchell, what would you suggest as a next step?

The Republican members have voted out of self preservation. They are terrified of Trump. I am terrified of Trump. They cannot reason with Trump’s base. We cannot reason with Trump’s base, it is futile in my opinion, to try.
Do you see? We have something in common after all. Join me at the polls in every election up to and including November 2020. I am begging you.

It isn’t both sides of the fish that are rotten. It’s the head.

I not only find it discouraging but truly unbelievable that this is where we are in this 21 century. These poor white guys are so afraid of not being the top dogs in this country that they are wishing this country return to how things were 50 years ago. And, if they truly think they are not racists we are very lost as a country.

Another benefit to the passing of the resolution:

There is NOTHING Trump could do that would result in the Republican party abandoning him. NOTHING. That is not hyperbole. He could sell our latest nuclear submarine technology to Russia and GOP members in Congress would tsk, tsk and then refuse to take action. Baby in a wood chipper. Rape a mule. Nuke Seattle. Nothing, nothing, nothing will ever irretrievably damage him with the GOP. Dems need to get used to the fact he can be a venomous, racist, treasonous demon of the highest order and not suffer for it. Admittedly it is a hard reality to accept, but accept it they must.

“If we’re gonna deal with things that people are saying, than we ought to deal with it on both sides of the aisle.” Said Mitch McConnell, who seemed unable to hear the words coming out of his mouth.

Those elections are, to Trump, akin to driving cattle to market…the voters are herded into two sluices:

Dems will be culled as much as possible to negate their input.

GOPers will be counted.

THAT was what the Stephanopoulos interview was all about. There is a 100% certainty Trump will game the 2020 elections. This is about him becoming Emperor or convict.

Jerry Nadler is scheduling hearings on a war resolution, sometime. In the near future. Sort of near future. This year at least. Or no later than a bit into 2020. You’ll see.

and when we win, and we will win , they will not go quietly into the night.
The White Republican Party needs to be small enough to drown in a bathtub.

Yeah, fine. You agree to the formal condemnation of the sitting Republican President and we’ll agree to the condemnation of the current sitting Democratic President. Oh…wait…yeah, right!
